Title: The Dino
|
TechniquesSome techniques were used when creating this work. When initially beginning this work a wash was done with a mixture of colors. This was done evenly in order to allow both colors to be aperant. Along side this there is a contrast in color between the top and bottom. This is between the two already present colors of cream and red. With the use of watercolors an even mixture is able to be achieved. Though while painting some of the objects that same progression is still present. This can be seen within the rectangles. As a darker tone is transitioned into a diluted tone of the same color. Lastly when using the colors, they are within a similar area with small quantities. This allowed more room for water and movement/mixture between the colors.

EvaluationsIn comparison to my original inspiration for this work, there are differences present. As the format of the I spy photography did serve as an inspiration, though mediums differ. As that particular photography is filled with an abundance of objects, within a similar tone. This allows for it to be cohesive in nature. While my work uses the same style of objects, though fails to remain stimulating. This is due to the lack objects, and more could be present in order to fill the page. The mediums also differ again, as I used a watercolor drawing. This allowed for a differ in style between the two. As there is more of a childish tone present. Overall the two do differ, though an inspiration can still be seen present within the efforts of the work.
